So why all the Disney?
Quick answer: why not?
Longer answer: we have an annual membership and the girls get in the park free before their third birthday. It's an easy way to kill time, cheap(er) when you bring sandwiches and your own drinks and since Anika is terrified of most of the rides we will have a lot of discoveries and new "brave moments" for her to experience in the years to come.
Saskia stayed home with Lilian this time which made our day in Mouseland much quicker to get around (we didn't have to carry all the extra equipment for the infant). It's much better that way as Saskia gets the naps and food she needs and Lilian gets a little bit of a break. Usually Lilian would be home with both girls while we are at work. Today she gets to read a book while Saskia naps most of the afternoon. Just one of the perks of having in house help with kids and cleaning.

I don't remember all the things I wanted to comment on now!
You know that one 'no getting out' caution thing you filmed? Aaron and I joked that that one was "ABSOLUTELY NO MUSICAL THEATER ON THIS RIDE"
Anika hasn't moved on to any new rides, eh?
God! That freaking merry go round. I still have nightmares about Heather and Anika and my too close for comfort wait in line. Heather, remember when you picked her up and the crowd behind her went "Ohh!" and then pressed in closer?
I meant, behind us. You know what I mean.
Hey Jenny! They are definitely cracking down on all the patrons breaking out into spontaneous song as they take a ride 20 feet in the air. It's perhaps not the singing as much as the dancing that soon follows that puts people at risk. Musical theatre can kill. No joke. ;)
As for Anika, there are times I feel like launching myself off the carousel and running until I'm able to throw myself in front of the Disney train. But she can't get enough and it makes her so happy to know what's coming every time. She will grow up eventually I suppose. I have some video of her on other rides that we've tried. She freaks out and has bad dreams after, say, Winnie the Pooh: it's a car that takes you through dark rooms with loud noises and black lights that makes your parents look like they are aliens from another planet.
